Overwatch 2 is hosting Double XP Weekend to celebrate the Battle for Mount Olympus

Blizzard is kicking off the first Double XP Weekend Event of the year in Overwatch 2 to promote the brand new Battle for Olympus game mode.


Blizzard plans to start the new year off strong by giving the first official kickoff surveillance 2 Double XP weekend 2023 to celebrate the launch of the brand new game mode: Battle for Olympus. Fans of the popular online shooter game should find that this will help them a lot in completing the Season 2 Battle Pass.


This is the fourth Double XP Weekend event since the free-to-play game’s October 2022 release date, when Blizzard launched the event to apologize to players surveillance 2‘s chaotic problems on launch day, such as B. the server disruptions caused by a large number of players trying to log in, coupled with a series of DDoS attacks.

Fortunately, there are no such problems this time. According to Blizzard, the Double XP Weekend will last from January 6th – 11:00 am PDT to January 9th – 11:00 am PDT. Overwatch 2 Battle for Olympus Heroes Fighting

This Double XP event is used to celebrate and promote the latest surveillance 2 Game mode titled Battle for Olympus. From January 6th to January 19th, the Free-for-all Deathmatch features seven heroes, each wearing special Greek Mythology skins and ultimate abilities. Players also have the option to immortalize their chosen hero as long as they manage to get the highest number of kills in the entire event. As a reminder of their epic victory, the hero’s statue will be placed on the arena map in the Ruins of Ilios. Players can also complete special challenges that allow them to claim free rewards like new titles, language lines, or even skins.

Special events like these are always beneficial as they can encourage players to spend more time playing the game while allowing them to skip a significant portion of the necessary grind required to reach max level surveillance 2‘s Battle Pass. Hopefully, this event will allow players to progress faster to unlock all available season goodies, including the Mythic Zeus Junker Queen skin, available as a reward for reaching level 80 of the Premium Battle Pass.
